MARTY RASKIN 


A teacher in New York City for 32 years, his affiliation with the public schools started when he was a student at PS 202 in East New York. Over the years Marty has amassed what might be the largest collection of public school memorabilia in the world, including a desk from his old elementary school, complete with an ink well and a teachers desk, both from the mid-1920s. Marty's ultimate goal is to find a permanent home for the collection where folks can share their school memories.

DAVID EDELMAN


 Is a Social Studies Teacher and Instructional Coach in NYC. David teaches in the same Public School building his grandmother graduated from in 1932. His classroom serves as a learning lab for project based learning, civic engagement and the teaching of personal finance.  He has been honored with a Teachers For Global Classrooms Fulbright, Teacher of The Year & The Alfred P. Sloan Award for Teaching Economics.
